Changing attitudes and impending legislative modifications in Canada, the US and around the world have created a new undersupplied healthcare market for CBD derived from Hemp.
Current predictions are that the CBD market will remain a growth market for the next 5 years, with significant supply shortages expected for the majority of that timeframe, due to crop shortage and lack of large scale extraction facilities.
In the past, Hemp CBD has been classified with its close relative of the Cannabis Sativa family, Marijuana. Thus, in most countries in the world it is illegal to harvest the flowers of Hemp. These flowers have a very low THC content, but have a relatively high level of CBD, a non-psychoactive compound with tremendous healthcare and wellness applications.
Changing Government & Consumer Sentiments
Recently there has been rising interest in Hemp CBD by the general public, as it is being touted as a viable alternative for treatment of a wide range of medical and healthcare conditions including:
- Pain & Inflammation
- Anxiety & Depression
- Seizure Disorders
- Skin Disorders
